And so did I. I was instantly captured by the intensity of "the Shriekback sound". Together with this fine captivative film. Brilliant! Shriekabck and Micheal Mann thank you!

I did the same thing! Could NOT get over how incredible th emusic was. Michael Mann outdid himself choosing the soundtrack for his film.

Oh I so know what you mean! At that point in the story I was half thinking they'd go that route, let him redeem himself with Reba...

I hear bits and pieces of this song all over the place, and when I do I go nuts. Great moment in the movie, sad, and almost makes you feel bad for Francis...

Oh, cool! I didn't know that, chig! Thanks for that info. I adore Michael Mann, he's done AMAZING work and Manhunter really helped put him on the map!I love the scene for this song as well. Just so amazing to see what Francis might have been. Thank you for your comments!

You're welcome, apana! I so heartily agree with all your statements! Brian Cox was an INTENSE Hannibal, far more intellectually scary than Hopkins, IMHO.And of course, I'm sure you can tell how I feel about Mr Crowe! LOL...

same here, "Manhunter" got me into this song too, its playing when Francis falls in love with Reba, he cries because he has never felt love, it is the only time in the film we see what francis might have been if things had been different, best part of the movie and this song is perfect for it, Manns favourite part of the movie aswell by the way.

So many of Russel's films are really entertaining and produced on a epic scale. My favourotes are 'Gladiator' and 'Master and Commander'. Thanks for putting this song up - I've seen 'Manhunter' a few times and prefer Brian Cox to Hopkins as Hannibal. The soundtrack to the film is so well put together I could watch the film just for the music.

It's a great song, I got hooked on it the same way! And that's the only connection to Russell Crowe, I'm a huge Russell Crowe fan and I love putting pictures of him to music I think suits the pix. We call it an "Illustrated Song", sort of a "fan" thing, for fun. :)
