Dmitri, you may not realize it but the comment was a little insulting to Canadians. From a distance, it may look like we and Americans are the same and we are in many ways; we share many of the same values and have a very close bond. We're brethren, in every sense of the word. But Canada is still very different from the US. We're a sovreign nation and don't like to be mistaken for our neighbors. We like and respect Americans but we're not Americans. Just to clear up the point. :)

I suppose ppl don't realize the US and Canada are in America, ergo, technically, they're both "Americans". There are some much similarities between the two nations, I practically consider them of the same nature. So when I wrote that comment, I was referring to the US and Canadians. Make any sense?

Well before it was for conquest. Now it is for the stabalization of the Afghan Government and ANA, so that The Afghanies can look after their own nation with minimal foriegn Military interferance.~Thanato

west invaded central asia since middle agesand in 1700-1800-1900-and now from 2001..always claiming they do it for the people there and for the world.. for "good" purposes..

aslo now claiming having good purposes like "democraty" or "freedome"..

well I dont think the mayority in afghanistan trust the West for 1%..

and it will end the same way as always: west redrawing when thecost become too high and it becomes too dangerous.. leaving the country even less "free" than before
