An intimate, lovely, ukulele version of the song co-penned by EC and T-Bone Burnett.Well I recall his parting words Must I accept his fate? Or take myself far from this place I thought I heard a black bell toll A little bird did sing Man has no choice When he wants everything
Chorus: We`ll rise above the scarlet tide That trickles down through the mountain And separatesthe widow from the bride
Man goes beyond his own decision Gets caught up in the mechanism Of swindlers who act like kings And brokers who break everything The dark of night was swiftly fading Close to the dawn of the day Why would I want him Just to lose him again
I love Elvis' voice, it's rich and warm like fine cognac. He makes any instrument he puts his hands to sing, but the ukulele holds a special place in my heart, it's so naive and unassuming. Overall: Magic!

Urk, sorry, it was just my bad grammar. Meanwhile, Elvis' voice is killing me dead!

I wasn't kidding either, unless you mean about the nectarines. I believe you on both fronts. Very good song.

I'm not kidding, but I just woke up from a dream in which I sang this song while throwing unripe nectarines into a canyon.
