I have friends who have worked with Russell Crowe and they report that, without a doubt, he is totally up his own ass. I found that very disappointing to learn because he is a good actor. That said, if he doesn't show respect to the people around him then why should WE show him respect? He needs some ego-management skills I'm afraid. **shrug** It's a shame.

As a professional singer/songwriter myself I can tell you this much, if he was singing out of tune, she would have NEVER been able to follow him with her harmony, it just can't be done. I know, I sing and have sung harmony/backup vocals for a number of people. It is impossible believe me. He does great for someone who is not really 'called' to be a singer but to be an actor. give him the credit due, let's see you try?
