Don't know if he recorded this on a tribute album of his own,or if it was from a compilation of various artistes? as for being too mellow------------Is that possible?

I agree with you, but it's a matter of taste. He's kind of too "adult contemporary" for me, too "easy listening." But he's no doubt very talented and has a great voice. I got to meet him once before he got famous, in the blues CD department of a book store in Santa Monica. He signed my CD. He's a really nice, normal guy, but his music is too mellow for me.
