He was not seriously injured. However, he did later sue the DEA for releasing his name because he said it preventing him from working under-cover. He was fired over it though.

Probably. Unless it grazed, getting hit in the foot with a .40 would not be pleasant; he would probably be on the floor yelling. He faked(?) his limp pretty realistically though...
