Ive heard this was staged. That he "pretended" to shoot himself to further prove that accidents happen. Im not sure, but that is what i heard.

it's not loaded, but it was before and someone cocked it, putting a bullet in the chamber. when this happens even if you remove the clip, you still have the bullet in the chamber dummy.
