Majora Carter's organization, Sustainable South Bronx is leading the way for developments that will both lift people out of poverty AND improve the environment. Green Roofs offer both those things
in the long term the cost will be outweighed by the long term savings

Why doesn't anyone ask who paid for this? Seriously, who would? Sure it creates jobs, if they want to pay to work...

I dont understand those plants are expensive, putting them there every year is very expensive, and then you have to irrigate and take care of them, witch is also expensive. I think that it is nice, but quite expensive maybe just building kind of another refreshing roof will make it cooler and ill be cheaper and require less work

hmm, great ideas that we don't do here in the US; gosh you're right. universal health care, free quality education, gun control, no trade embargo against Cuba, GMO food regulations, no speed limits on the hwy... No massive weight baby, just 20 lbs per sq ft? the crane was rented for a day because of the building's logistics. cost, $16 per sq ft. peace
