i think that was the character he played, jack lord played the character (steve something?) as a very intense, almost lonely person which added to the grittyness of the program.also i think miami vices openeing sequence (another great theme) was heavily influenced by five O's opening sequence.

Is it me or did Jack Lord never look comfortable? He was always on the edge and stiff. I would have loved to see an episode where him,Chin Ho, and the fat hawaiin guy get all "tanked" and just bust up laughing. Or maybe they'd even book Dano for fun.

I tivo this on KDOC it comes on at 2 pm and I watch it every night! Thank god for old television... : )
