Sounds pretty brutal. It'll take a while to totally separate yourself emotionally from something that horrific. Christmas Eve IS supposed to be a special time to spend with family and friends. The timing of that couldn't have been too much worse. Wow. Give it time. That memory will fade eventually. Just my take.

I appreciate the note,and yes,I am better off w/o her.Still hard to shake off the memory machine though.Worst of it was,she TOTALLY blindsided me,and left me on CHRISTMAS EVE for crying out loud.Presents under the tree,guests invited,she says,"I'm not happy,might have found a FRIEND that helps at work to get her through,And don't buy me any presents either,I did'nt get you anything".Nice huh? She DID buy the old fart stuff though,and maxed out my Visa card,SO I wound up buying HIS gifts,AHHHHHH!

Always tough from an emotional perspective, but, ultimately, you're better off WITHOUT someone who's value system worships money over the more important personal attributes...like integrity!
