I voted for McCain but there is something strangely sweet about all of this. For decades American whites have felt better than people of color and have viewed black men as either comic relief OR a threat. So now we have an eloquent, stately BI RACIAL president (considered black only in America where the Jim Crow "One Drop Rule" still exists) and whites are having a fit. For those that differ with his views, that's fine....but because his father was black? Get over it "pure" white people!
