playing in crazy time signatures is fun i had a 13 /8 for piano and i am trying to drum out of the 4/4 norm i am glad there is a video out there that addresses crazy time signatures. this is what real music is all about. good job derrick

see, i'm the opposite. i have a (somewhat of, i don't really mind though) problem of making 7, 5, and such.. sound "accidental". i have to try and make it sound naturally.. my suggestion would be to listen to some Tool. as they make it have that obvious sound (like derrick is/was talking about) alot... that's my input, hope it somewhat helped.

cheers for posting this vid m8. im probably the most unmusical guitarist alive and my friend who plays drums gets punished with me writing things in odd signatures without me realising, think if i watch this through a few more times maybe ill understand what im playing a bit better.

gah, friend of mine wrote a song in 7/4 and i hated him for it until i figured out a decent beat.
