The point I was trying to make is that one doesn't need vocal talent to make it! Her songs are well written--not genius level. Genius is too strong of a word to describe it. And again--refer to other people that have been given record deals! Obviously, you don't need talent to make it. Unless you think Jamie Kennedy and William Hung are geniuses, too...

emotionally charged lyrics with pleasing music (at least to most people, but that is an opinion based matter). Her success is clearly NOT that people can "sing along"... if that was the case, I would be a rock star and Stephen Tyler would be out of a job.
