I'm not a big Glen Campbell fan but I've always liked this song. Performed live on the Smothers Brothers show.PLEASE NOTE: This is posted as a tribute to the artist. If there is a copyright issue, please notify me and it will be promptly deleted
Dude, that is so hilarious that you noticed this! I was just saying the same exact thing about the strings and how cool they sounded. I don't have the resolution, but I bet that they are Flat wound to boot. Just big fat beasts. And as for the guitar, those switches as the bottom are very interesting. Did Fender have something called a switch master too?

Woah, talk about tone. Always wondered why that heavily reverberated guitar line sounded so simply fuckin' luscious - look at the size of the strings he's plucking! Gotta be 12's or 13's at least.&what model Fender guitar is that? Definitely no strat, nor jaguar. Jazzmaster maybe? What a fucking beauty. if he still has it it's worth a small fortune now. Love this old shit. Love it love it love it!

His voice is buttery and it seems effortless for him to sing which is a sign of a good singer. He's like a male version of Karen Carpenter.

This song sounds like the song "Where I Belong" by Canadian songwriter Vince Ravon. Check it out on youtube!

Another incredible Glen Campbell / Jimmy Webb song is "Still Within The Sound Of My Voice"

One of the original "Wrecking Crew" of studio musicians who in the 50's,60's and 70's were the busiest group of session players on the planet, contributing to an incredibly diverse body of music history. This is a memorable song from his post WC years and remains timeless.
