It's not about what the president wants. It's about who is in their pockets. Obama hides the lobbyists in smaller donations so they aren't investigated. But again, people who don't want to think about that, don't.

In this day and age, you won't get a president that will do things the right way and in the best interest of the american people.

Oh, and the real war was won within months of occupying Iraq. What we are doing there now is guard duty. It's not a war now.

simply due to the fact that no common citizen actually knows what a president does. I just hope and wish for a president in the near future that will think over priorities, ofcourse its not always the presidents job to prioritize things simply put. In New York State, for the first time in a long time or ever...the governor actually made a list of priorities on budget...maybe other states or the president should follow suit.
Would be interesting to see the federal priority list...1) NASA

Also, another point id like to make is that after President Clinton's term the country had a massive amount of money. President Bush's party decided it would be intelligent to put all or most of that money in to real estate, in order to expand cities, towns etc.

Fruticetum, your wrong in the assumption that U.S. Marines and other private military forces only targeted combatants. There are documentaries and film clips on how at one point the U.S.M. targeted anything. Oh, and insurgents? The united states military is considered the insurgency. Thousands of soldiers came from all over the middle east to fight against the Marines, calling it a Jihad to defend Iraq.
