aah okay thanks a lot!! I presumed it could be something like that :) so what do you think, do I make my guitar-playing friend play the more difficult way or should I change my way of playing?

@lilleman88: Whatever lead sheets that you've seen are probably in E because it's easier for guitarists to play in that key. The song really does start with an E-flat Major chord. The official published sheet music that you can purchase also has it written out starting on E-flat.
