babe.... the world needs to eat..... this is an un-ending arguement.... i dont agree with poaching or animal curelty in anyway.... but that doesnt mean we need to stop making beef and chicken products..... pork maybe but not the other 2.

because there's a bird that can fly higher than other bird, doesnt mean the other bird can't fly. Agricultural livestock must stop first since they are one of the biggest reason for habitat destruction for many wildlife animals

well one thing they are popular for, that i know of, is that bear biles are excellent for hangovers. and in asia, where many of business deals are made over drinking 'meetings' bear biles are perfect. but i agree. it is totally fucked up, and the thing is. the few hundred years old modern science can't win over 5000years tradition that people still treasure.

Basically, bears are captured from the wild and put in the cages shown the video in what they call "bear bile farms." The bears are kept in captivity to extract their bile and sell it as "medicine" in various parts of Asia. To bile is extracted by tubes crudely inserted in the bear's gall bladder, or as one of the shots showed, by making a permanent hole in the gall bladder so that the bile drops freely. The bears are kept in horrible condition and are subject to disease and infection.
