Sometimes different voices changes a song, but everyone can give an special touch. And that's the Idea

The singer in this piece is Peter Beckett - I can guarantee this as I have known him since 1984. This was his first live performance with The Alan Parsons Project and his first live show in over 5 years, playing to thousands of people. I agree that you can hear the odd shaky note in his voice but given the circumstances, I think it unfair for him to be criticized for being a little nervous!

Genial.

That is awful. A great song ruined. Who is that terrible singer?

The original vocalist was Colin Blunstone.
I wished I hadn't lost the LP which I bought in 1983.

This singer is struggling. Colin Blunstone is the correct voice for this one. He sounds wonderful with orchestral sounds like the strings section for example.

I prefer the original vocal by Colin Blunstone. This version is good though. This has always been my favorite Alan Parsons Project song.
